South Korean actress Kim Tae-hee and actor Park Hae-soo are set to make their Hollywood debut with the new Amazon Prime Video original show Butterfly.
Kim has been cast in a major role while Park will make a special appearance, announced their agencies Story J Company and BH Entertainment, respectively, on Tuesday (Jan 30). Specific details of their roles have yet to be revealed.
Butterfly is an espionage thriller starring Korean American actor Daniel Dae Kim, who plays David Jung – a former US intelligence operative living in South Korea. David’s life takes a turn when sociopathic agent Rebecca, played by Reina Hardesty, is tasked to eliminate him.
The six-episode series is based on the BOOM! Studios graphic novel of the same name created by Arash Amel, with co-writing by Marguerite Bennett and illustrations by Antonio Fuso and Stefano Simeone.

Kim debuted as a model in 2000 and has since starred in dramas Iris; Hi, Bye Mama and Lies Hidden In My Garden.
Meanwhile, Park is best known for his role as Cho Sang-woo in the hit Netflix series Squid Game, which earned him an Emmy nomination for best supporting actor in a drama. He has also starred in Prison Playbook, Money Heist: Korea and Narco-Saints.
