South Korean girl group Kara has a new track featuring late member Goo Hara's voice

Popular K-pop girl group Kara is set to release a new single titled I Do I Do on Jul 24. In the lead-up to I Do I Do's release, Kara – which currently comprises Gyuri, Seungyeon, Nicole, Jiyoung and Youngji – unveiled a pre-release track on Tuesday (Jul 16) titled Hello which contains the vocals of late member Goo Hara.
According to music labels RBW and DSP Media, Hello was recorded in 2013 for Kara's fourth studio album Full Bloom. However, it did not make the cut. Hara then recorded a solo version of Hello for her Japanese single Midnight Queen which was released in November 2019.
Midnight Queen ultimately ended up being Hara's final release before she died by suicide on Nov 24, 2019.
The new version of Hello has been rearranged and remastered to include Hara's pre-recorded vocals in Korean as well as the vocals of Youngji who joined Kara in 2014.
In a statement to the press, RBW and DSP Media said: "Hello is a ballad song themed around the greeting 'annyeong', which means meeting and parting. The members incorporated various meanings of the word 'hello' into the song, such as the joy of reunion and the sadness of parting."
