Chinese-American actress Fala Chen is now a mother of two. The 42-year-old made the surprise announcement on Monday (Mar 18).
“We are now a family of FOUR! Big sister was so excited to meet her little brother,” Chen wrote on Instagram.
Alongside the caption, she also posted a picture of three hands holding a baby’s hand, and another photo of her daughter holding a bouquet of flowers.
Before this, the former TVB actress, who is married to French entrepreneur Emmanuel Straschnov, had not announced her pregnancy.
Chen told Hong Kong media that her son weighs about 2.9kg and is nicknamed Little Mickey. She added: “Both mother and child are safe and healthy, and we are delighted to see our family growing harmoniously."
This is not the first time the actress has stunned fans. In 2021, she welcomed her firstborn, nicknamed Little Minnie, without publicly announcing her pregnancy beforehand.
Chen, who had acted in numerous TVB series including Lives Of Omission and No Regrets, made her Hollywood debut in 2020 with the miniseries Undoing. She later went on to star in Marvel film, Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings.
The actress will next appear in Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, out in Singapore on Mar 28.
