Get to know Robert Downey Jr’s father, Robert Downey Sr (hence the title), the iconoclastic 1960s actor and filmmaker (who passed away last year) in this heartfelt documentary from Chris Smith (American Movie). Features interviews with RDJ, friends and collaborators Alan Arkin and Norman Lear, and filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson who cast Downey Sr in Magnolia and Boogie Nights.
