Chris Colfer Refused To See Glee Co-Star Lea Michele In Funny Girl: "I Can Be Triggered At Home"
Chris Colfer has refused to see Lea Michele in Funny Girl.
The 32-year-old Glee actor has no interest in going to watch his former co-star take on the role of comedienne Fanny Brice in the Broadway revival of the classic musical.
When asked on SiriusXM's The Michelle Collins Show on SiriusXM whether he would like to see Michele in Funny Girl, Colfer, who played Kurt Hummel, said: "Oh my day suddenly got so full! Sorry! Sorry! Well, I saw Six last night and it was amazing. No, [I'm not going], I can be triggered at home."
Michele replaced Booksmart actress Beanie Feldstein in Funny Girl' in September.
Colfer's shade comes two years after Glee alum Samantha Ware accused Michele of bullying her and fostering a toxic work environment on the set of the TV series.
Cast member Heather Morris also mentioned that Michele was "unpleasant to work with".
Michele addressed the controversy in a New York Times profile before her Funny Girl debut. "I have an edge to me," she said. "I work really hard. I leave no room for mistakes. That level of perfectionism, or that pressure of perfectionism, left me with a lot of blind spots."
Colfer isn't the one not planning to watch Funny Girl. Kevin McHale, who played Artie Abrams, shared with E! News that he doesn't "have any plans" to see the musical.
He added, "I haven't talked to her in a while, to be honest."— BANG SHOWBIZ
